What!?

So at my 35 week Dr.'s appointment my Dr. told me that the baby had descended already. I had thought something was up because I could feel a little added pressure down there.I really didn't think anything of it. This week we went in for my 36 week check up and my Dr. let us know that I probably won't make it to 40 weeks. WHAT!!! I was totally planning on having atleast another 4 weeks to get myself mentally and physically prepared and organized. I thought for sure she would be late! I still have alot I need to get and do! I asked her why and she said because the baby had descended already, I was soft, and was dialated to a 1. I told her that it happens to people all the time and they still don't deliver on time to which she responded "I've been doing this a long time and I just have a feeling that you're not going to make it to 40 weeks". She then told me that I need to get things ready, the bags packed, pre-registered at the hospital, etc. So, the last couple of days I have been running around like crazy trying to get all the things that we're going to need, just incase she does come soon. I've been trying to get the house organized and under control too. I had just gotten back to San Diego from fresno (I had a baby shower there) and had unloaded everything into the living room. It was a mess and I was taking my sweet time figuring out where to fit everything. Then I got the news that I needed to be ready! So I've been really busy trying to get myself under control. We'll see in the next couple of weeks who's right about when the baby will be born... me or the Dr. :)

Hang in there Heidi! Don't stress about getting everything just right. You have a car seat, clothes, diapers and a bed for her, you'll be fine. Avery was a week early and I still have never gotten everything just the way I wanted it for her room, but life goes on. My bag was packed the day before she came. That is exciting, we can't wait to meet her. Keep us posted!

I don't think anybody's ever completely ready for the baby to come, although many are ready to be done being pregnant. Hope you get done what you need to and that all goes when you go into labor. Wish I could have been there for your baby shower. You'll have to post pictures.

I finished my last load of laundry for Charlotte and I started having contractions. It was about 8pm. So, I packed my bag and labored until about 2 am and then took a shower and blew dry my hair and then they got closer and harder. I called my mom at 4am and she checked my I was a 4. I went in about 5am and delivered 1:43pm. The only things I had ready were her clothes were clean, I had diapers/wipes and a bassinet. That is all I needed for the first couple weeks. My mom fed me and Nicholas went out to buy anything I needed. Katie's right...life goes on and all 3 of you will survive.

I am completly undercontrol now. But literally I didn't even have onesies for the poor thing. I guess I could have just put her in a diaper and wrapped her in a blanket. haha. But I have all the necessities now.
