Christmas Day 2011

We woke up Christmas day, opened Christmas stockings and had our traditional eggs benedict for breakfast. It's a family favorite. Then we all headed to church together. As a kid I would have hated having Christmas on a Sunday but this year I loved it. I wish we could have a one hour church service every Christmas day.

Afton woke up with some wild hair and a split dry lip but was very excited to see her stocking. I loved hearing her say, "oh my word!"

Santa left her some new art supplies.

After church we headed home to open presents. Uncle Michael tickling Emery. She loved pulling on his fuzzy hair.

Checking out her new toy from one of the uncles. I can't remember which one now.

Uncle Marc got her her first barbie. How fitting coming from the boy that my mom says loved his ken barbie doll as a little boy.

Uncle John got the best gift of us all. A childs sweatshirt? My mom accidentally ordered a childs size instead of the adult version. We got a pretty good laugh out of that.

Uncle Michael and Neal got Afton a Dentist playdoh set. Logan liked that and so does Afton.

We homemade all of our gifts this year. For my dad I made new bags for his fishing reels.

And as a surprise grandma bought Afton a box of princess dresses. I've never seen her so happy. She was in heaven and still loves putting on her dresses everyday.

We made Logans parents a stepping stone for their garden from seashells and sea glass that Afton has collected over the past year.

And I didn't get a picture of it, maybe this next Christmas I'll get a chance, but I made the Pauline family a set of nativity costumes.

We had a great Christmas and loved spending time with family. We didn't take many pictures. I got a little burnt out from work, a new baby that throws up 24/7, and Logan being gone that I just decided to more enjoy everything and put the camera away. Sometimes taking pictures is fun but sometimes it's more fun to just put it away and be more apart of the action instead of being the one taking pictures of it.
