It was great.... because for once, we did not have to travel. I can still remember the year it took us 11 hours to get to Fresno from San Diego! What the! 11 hours! But not this year! It took us no hours. :) We got up, Logan went to Football and I for the first time started making the turkey. We drove to watch Logan play football, could not find him, so came home played around. I carved the turkey for the first time, and we had Thanksgiving dinner. Then, we went to Logans parents for Thanksgiving dinner #2 and played around again. It was great and relaxing and.... my first turkey turned out great. :) Atleast that's what everyone said.
There he is, ready to be carved and eaten.
David and Debbie Termeer, Neal, Mike, Whit, Mazur, Christa, Amanda, Marc, Me, Ash, Mom, and Logan and Dad taking the pictures. A full house!
Then on to the Hendersons:
Cousin Avery and Afton
Afton giving cousin Mia love pats on the back.
Doing tripods with cousin Kaedyn
All the cousins in town for Thanksgiving 2009.
The Day after Thanksgiving I joined the crowds and got up at 3:00 a.m. to go to Sears. I had my eye on a camera that was one of their early morning specials. I hate going shopping the day after Thanksgiving but we had a gift card to Sears and it was a deal I just could not miss, and a camera I could not afford otherwise! I got there right at opening, got the camera, and a set of screwdrivers that I saw logan eyeballing in the ad the day before. Since I was up and awake I decided to go to the mall also. I ended up getting a few other things that we needed there. A new down comforter for 39.00 (cal king size that's regular 200.00) and new sheets for 30.00 (reg. 160.00) at Macy's. It was a good morning!!! I got home from shopping just in time for Afton to wake up.
Can you tell I got up at 3!! :)
Us infront of all the great buys!
Our cute girl with a runny nose. Trying out the new camera!
We got dressed and ready for the day and headed over to Nana and Papa's to hang out with family.
Later we went home and decorated Gingerbread houses.
Team Maz and Grandma
Team Mike and Sarah
Team Ash and Neal
And then the best team! Team Logan and Heidi, with Neal in the background.
This is the snowman we put in our front yard.
And in honor of our home for the first 4 years of our marriage, a palm tree for San Diego.
Gotta love Logan's number 1 sign. :) The fronts...
And the backs. Ours had a pond. Ash and Neals had outdoor furniture and a dog house. Mike and Sarahs had a fire pit with hot tamale people standing around it. We get pretty competitive. They all turned out really great. And sometime after that I crashed... hard. I don't remember getting in bed and falling asleep. When I woke up the next morning I was still wearing my jeans and vest.. but atleast my shoes were off!
And while I was sleeping, Logan got in plenty of this. :)

Very impressive turkey and gingerbread house, Heidi. Cute pictures. I will have to ask you about a couple of the attendees.
Wow, you guys go all out for your gingerbread houses! Looks like you had a fun night and they all look great (but yours is the best!)
