our first ultrasound...what a great experience!

So we went to our first ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. We were so excited to see our surprise baby! Unfortunatley it was the ultrasound appointment from he**. Looking back it was all absolutely worth it, but for it to have been a more relaxed and enjoyable experience would have been nice. We showed up to our appointment about 10 minutes early to do the paper work. Our first scheduled appointment was cancelled the night before we were supposed to go and so our appointment had to be post poned for another 2 weeks. With Logan and I both having over 21 units, finding time that fits both of our schedules is really hard. We finally found a couple of hours inbetween some of our class. Logan had to miss a Physics class and I had to miss one of my sociology classes but they promised to have us out of there intime to make it to our later classes. We sat and waited for an hour and a half in the lobby and still had not been called to go back. At this time we started to get worried because it was looking like I was going to miss my spanish class and quiz. Finally I got up and talked to the receptionist and asked her if she knew how much longer and told her our situation with school. She of course told me what they always say... "it shouldn't be much longer". 2 hours after arriving we still hadn't been called back and now I was missing my class and Logans exam was an hour away (it could not be made up)... and it was going to be rush hour on the freeway. I watched other women that came in and hour after me go in and get ultrasounds and leave and I was still waiting. I realized it was because they were angry and were yelling and complaining the receptionist and I was acting patient and nice. So finally 2 and half hours after my appointment time I walked up and told her I was leaving that we would have to reschedule and that I was really upset with the service I had recieved. After that we were pulled back right away... but the mood was kind of killed. I felt rushed to get back to school and frustrated about missing my class and quiz. Because we didn't have a lot of time the Dr. rushed our ultrasound so our appointment that we waited 2 and half hours for took a total of 8 minutes. It was so great seeing the our little baby but so sad that the mood was a little dim and rushed. Hopefully next time things will be a little more relaxed.

The Grads!!... well almost.

So this weekend Logan and I will both be graduating.... but not exactly. We have to do the first session of summer school and then we will finally be done... but not exactly. After graduating we'll have a few more years of school and then we'll be done. It kinda stinks to walk in the graduation ceremony and then come back the next week for school. I had always pictured my graduation to be really exciting... the whole walk on the stage have your name announced and then never come back. I never imagined that I would have set foot on campus again. Whatever the case it is still exciting to be done with our undergrad work... in another 5 weeks. :) These are the pictures we took for our homemade graduation announcement.... since the real ones were way to expensive and pretty plain anyway.

San Fran

Logan had to go to San Francisco for a school conference so we decided to make a trip out of it and drive up together. Driving there was definetly more fun than the drive back. We felt a little rushed driving back to San diego since we had homework due and exams the following monday. The weekend was a lot of fun regardless of the fact that we spent alot of time at the motel studying. Our first night we got tons of treats and had a little party for two. Saturday we found out my brother John was also in San Francisco, so we got to meet up with him for about an hour. Before returning to the motel to continue studying we made sure to stop by the arcade we went to a couple years ago before we got married. Sunday the drive seemed to take much longer... maybe because Logan fell asleep for 90% of my driving time! Whatever the case, it was a fun weekend away together. I wish we could have those more often!!

If I could turn back time...

On our way to San Fran we stopped at Harris Ranch. We hadn't been back since... well you know. It was alot of fun stopping there and seeing a place where we had been almost 2 and half year before. Oh how things have changed! Things have been great but it was still fun to reminisce the past.
