Valentines Day 2012

Afton got invited to a little party at a friends house. It is always a lot of fun for her to get to get out of the apartment and see friends.
All the kids at the party. Emery and Afton. Poor Emery got 2 mosquito bites on her face the night before. Mosquitoes love my kids and Logan but hardly ever come after me. Emery on the move. She had been playing around with the idea of crawling but finally really started getting around just before she turned 7 months.

Beach day

Just another morning spent at the beach. The best part about living in the Caribbean.

Out to Eat

Friday after a very long and hard week/day I decided I wanted to go out to eat. We had a giftcard to Outback Steakhouse that was calling my name. Logan wasn't really in the mood to go out for dinner after a long school day but I just couldn't get steak out of my mind. Being the good husband he is, he agreed and happily helped get the kids loaded and we went. Little did we know it would be the outing from.... you know. We were starving! Since this was months ago I'm starting to forget the terrible details but I can't forget the feeling of "I'm about to go crazy and lose my mind!" If you ever want to see the worst side of me (you don't) get me hungry and then don't feed me but taunt me with food. We got there and to our disappointment the resturant did not open for another hour and 15 minutes. What restaurant doesn't open until 6:00 for dinner? I'll spare you the details of the dinner: Aftons fall and scraped knees and hands, the manager deciding to have a meeting with his staff in front of us and open 20 minutes late, the fussy baby and kids, the banquet set up in front of us with great food that we couldn't eat, the slow waiter, the food taking forever to get to us; The list could go on and on. Needless to say we should have stayed home. The whole night wasn't a waste, we did have a little fun on the playground there and we did leave with full bellies, but it definitely wasn't the nice experience I had anticipated it to be... it was more of just survival and then eat your food as fast as you can so we can get the kids home. Maybe next time, if there is a next time.

Preschool- Feb

I had a lot of fun doing preschool this year with Afton and Carson. Of course I also liked having a break each week when Heather taught. :) These are 2 very bright kids... no wonder they drive us crazy the rest of the time! Can you tell that she adores him?!

Teeth

Teeth like these keep appearing all over our house. They have become Afton's little toys and Emery's little choking hazards. Logan doesn't take many pictures at school and of what he's doing so I decided to take a picture of some of the teeth he has made and carved. To be honest, I'm not really sure which ones these are. Molars...pre-molars...lateral incisors... I have no idea. But they still look cool and I'm pretty proud of Logan and his ability to make cool plastic teeth for Afton to play with and Emery to hopefully not choke on.

Bath Time

Emery loves taking baths and watching Affy take baths. As soon as she hears the water start she crawls to the bathroom as fast as she can. We had an incident recently where finally after weeks and weeks of trying to climb into the bath tub she did it. She slipped right in next to Afton and popped right up. I was right there and anticipating a cry or at least a startled look on her face from falling in but she popped right up out of the water happy to have finally made it in! I started bathing them together more since she obviously loves bathing with her big sister. She has also started trying to swim. It is hilarious! She kicks her legs as fast as she can, stretches out her arms, and while splashing dunks her face. We sure get a kick out of her wild spirit that she has adopted from her big sister.

Emery 6 months

Seriously can't get enough of this girl.

Pouting and sleeping at the same time.
