Messy

Emery moving into the "tear everything out because I can stage."

Dr. Visit and Drive-in

Going to the Dr. here feels like torture. Emery needed her shots so I called the Dr. and asked the office lady when they were offering shots because here, most places only offer them 1 day a week... which doesn't make any sense. Anyway, she told me to come on wednesday and I could get Emerys shots taken care of. So of course on Wed I load the kids up and drive to the office. We sit in the lobby for about an hour while sweating our guts out since there is no AC. Finally they ask for me to come up to find out what we're there for and tell me... "oh, we decided to not do shots today." Are you kidding me? Just decided huh?! That's what life is like here 50 percent of the time. The other 50 percent of the time is awesome.

Just a little preview of the girls Dr. Office.... before moving here I would have never taken my kids anywhere that looked like this. But now I realize that's just what buildings look like here. Cement slabs covered in paint... the only thing hurricane proof. And notice the parking... yes, someone has blocked in the other cars. everyday parking here in PR.

The day turned for the better when Logan text me the directions to a lady he found selling this car on clasificados (the PR craigslist) for 10 bucks. We met up with her and came home to enjoy a little afternoon at the drive-ins.

Childrens Museum

The first day of March we headed to the new Childrens Museum in Carolina. It was great and Afton loved it. We've been back 1 time since and I don't think it will ever get old... just wish it was cheaper.

It pretty hard to miss with this stretched out all the way across the road...

...And this parked out in the front. Heather and I got a kick out of this attraction. All the other kids at the museum were so excited to tour the airplane except for ours. They've done it way to many times to be tricked into thinking it's fun.

My happy little girl. Such a good baby. I love her sweet little face.

With some friends in the little town. There was a police station,

a dentists office,

A fire station,

A grocery store,  newstation, bank, and a few other stops in the little town. And right in the middle of the museum is this huge volcano that "errupts" every 15 minutes It's really loud! It really freaked Afton out at first. There's a slide that goes through part of it and also a climbing wall on one side but it took some serious coaxing to get her near it to try either of those out.

Can I just say how much I hated hated my hair. definitely not fond of the copper/ redish/ blonde streak hot mess it was thanks to the stylist that didn't listen to a word I said. Luckily it has been fixed back to blonde since I took this picture.

A cool piano. They had all sorts of fun musical instruments... even a water bubble organ.

The magnet wall

And I think this by far beats the little water table they have at the childrens museum in Old San Juan... by far.

There's a race car area, a little boy favorite.

By the time we got home Afton was wiped out... by of course Emery was wide awake.

The Art Kitchen

This is the reason I moved Aftons art and craft supplies to her very own craft area in our stairwell. She spent most of her day spreading everything out on the kitchen floor. The kitchens hard to keep picked up as it is!

Emery following her sisters every move like usual.

Stake Conference Sunday

When I leave this island, I don't want to forget how crazy, fun, frustrating, wild, or humbling this whole experience has been. This is your typical parking job for PR. On a hill and unable to leave because we have been blocked in.

New Place, New paint

As people have moved we have been left with all sorts of paints, rollers, and brushes. The walls in our new place were a deep red, and tan. I liked it but don't own anything that does with or matches red so I painted. It's not easy painting with a young baby but my freind Tiff came to the rescue and helped. We got the red covered in one afternoon. It's starting to actually feel like "our" place.

Silly Girl

Aftons silly picture of a silly monster.

Back in Business... Maybe

Well I'm hoping to be back in blogging business. I finally have a working laptop that I am hoping won't breakdown anytime soon.. cross our fingers. So I have a lot of catching up to do! Here's where I left off. Back in February, yes february, we had a day of running errands to get things for the new apartment. Afton was a great big sister and held the phone up for lulu so she could watch some shows.

After running errands we decided to finally finish some projects. Putting together Aftons playhouse was on the top of the list. We bought this house at a friends "moving from the island sale" for 20 bucks! (Thank you Nellie!). It had been sitting in our upstairs waiting for us to move to a place that we could actually put it up. So after months and months of waiting, and Afton asking everyday for us to put it together, we finally didi. Afton was in Heaven.

We decided to finish off the day with an afternoon at the park. Before leaving Afton constructed this crown, and surprisingly it actually fit.

We had a great time and finished off the afternoon with some rootbeer floats that Logan had packed.
